The National Bologna HERE event titled “Enhancement of Quality Assurance in BiH and Trends in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)” was held online on 25 September 2025.
The event gathered key education stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina and featured experts from the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
Jointly organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in BiH, the HERE team, and the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance (HEA), the event focused on advancing quality assurance (QA) practices in BiH in line with European trends.
Opening remarks were delivered by the members of the HERE Team from BiH: Ms. Slavica Škoro (HEA), and Ms. Aida Durić (Ministry of Civil Affairs), and Head of the Erasmus+ Office in BiH Mr. Suad Muhibić .
ENQA’s Ms. Elena Cirlan presented on evolving QA policies within the EHEA, emphasizing the impact of digitalization, artificial intelligence, and micro-credentials. She also shared updates on the ongoing revision of the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), expected to be finalized in 2026.
Mr. Goran Đaković (ENQA) highlighted the need for innovative, flexible approaches to external quality assurance, discussing AI's growing role and the importance of ethical oversight.
The event gathered participants from higher education institutions, ministries, and other national stakeholders.
