edu1The workshop “Development and running of (internationalized and multidisciplinary) PhD programmes” was held at the University of Banja Luka on June 07, 2016. The event was organized by the University of Banja Luka in cooperation with team of Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE) and the National Erasmus+ Office in BiH. The workshop leader was Dr.-Ing. Michael Klimke, EU expert from the Technical University of Munich Graduate School. 

The aim of the workshop was to transfer European knowledge, experience and good practices to local stakeholders regarding organization of high quality internationalized and multidisciplinary PhD programs in English (e.g. development of multidisciplinary international study programme curricula, identification of possible partners, financial aspects, etc.).


The “Higher Education Short Cycles and Their Introduction into the BiH Qualifications Framework” Workshop was held at the University of Sarajevo on April 14, 2016. The event was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in cooperation with a team of Experts For Higher Education Reforming (HERE) and the University of Sarajevo. The workshop leader was Prof. Dr. Stefan Delplace, an EU expert from the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE).

The workshop aim was transferring of European knowledge and experience to academics, government representatives and other key stakeholders involved in this process in BiH.

Detailed and systematic analysis of legislation and practice in recognition procedures, the state of implementation of Lisbon Recognition Convention in BiH and recommendation for improvement covers current legislations (Republic of Srpska, ten cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Brčko District of BiH) concerning recognition of foreign higher education qualifications including access to an assessment, criteria and procedures, deadlines, appeal, the term of “substantial differences”. The document also presents the main challenges that should be overcome and goals to be achieved in order to have fair recognition fully aligned with the Lisbon Recognition Convention.
